Affiliate disclosure

This site earns money through affiliate commissions. When you click a commercial link here and buy something, the retailer may pay us a percentage of the sale. You pay nothing extra — the price is the same as it would be had you arrived any other way.

We currently have affiliate relationships with the NutriProfits network, which represents NuviaLab and related supplement brands. Where a page discusses a product we earn a commission on, that link is marked and the disclosure appears before it, not buried at the bottom.

We are not paid to write favourably. No manufacturer reviews our pages before publication, and no manufacturer has editorial input. When our analysis is unflattering to a product we earn from — and it has been — it gets published anyway, because a site that only says flattering things has no value to anyone, including its advertisers.

We do not test products

We have not purchased or tested this product. This analysis compares the manufacturer's published label against the peer-reviewed literature on each ingredient. Where we could not verify something, we say so.

Where a manufacturer supplies material — a specification sheet, a certificate of analysis, a photograph — we cite it as coming from them and say so plainly. We do not present supplied images as our own work, and we do not present a manufacturer's data as independent verification.

Medical disclaimer

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nobody who writes it is medically qualified.

Statements about dietary supplements on this site have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Dietary supplements can interact with prescription medication, are not appropriate for everyone, and are not a substitute for medical care. Some of the compounds discussed here have documented upper intake limits and documented adverse effects at high doses — where we know of one, we publish it. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting any supplement, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.

Accuracy and limits

We verify every factual claim against a primary source and date it. Even so:

Privacy

We use analytics to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked. Clicking a commercial link passes an identifier that tells us which page produced the click — this identifies the page, not you. We do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
